Get Well Media

Get Well Map Foundation is so proud to have the opportunity to collaborate with the Canadian Retinoblastoma Research Advisory Board (CRAAB) and Child Life Specialist Morgan Livingstone in the development of a tool to help children and families navigate their retinoblastoma journey.

Developed alongside Canadian retinoblastoma families and clinicians, through the generous support of The Garron Family Cancer Centre and the Schell Family Foundation, this quality improvement project developed a child- and family-centered tool to enhance developmentally-appropriate medical communication and understanding of the many complex components of care that children and families undergoing retinoblastoma experience.

Get Well Maps and retinoblastoma milestone stickers are being piloted with children and families at The Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto, Ontario) both as a medical education tool for families and as a therapeutic story board for families to process the triumphs and challenges of their treatment journey.

Thank you CRAAB and Morgan for the dedication and support you provide to this meaningful work.
